Gititu AB, Kenya

$29.00

Gititu AB coffee cherries are hand-picked at peak ripeness and grown on red volcanic soil, black cotton, and loam. SL and Ruiru 11 varieties are traditionally washed ‘Kenya-style’ and dried on beds in the sun. Our preferred brew method for this coffee is espresso, but all brewing methods produce a curiously bold and dark fruity experience, accentuating sweet and tart notes of black cherry and plum.

‘AA’ and ‘AB’ are only distinctions of bean size and not an indication of a coffee’s quality. While AA are the largest bean category, AB coffees are a mixture of both size A and size B coffee beans.
